I met with Stuart who was referred by family, we discussed many options and decided to start a self-managed superannuation fund with the intention of buying an investment property. After several attempts at properties we decided to invest into a diverse investment portfolio instead. We built up the SMSF over the last twelve years. Stuart helped us through the claims process and was in regular contact to ensure that the claim was being paid. It took ten months to get back to work from the injury that happened outside work. Stuart took over from my retiring adviser and about two years into our relationship I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. As soon as I told Stuart he informed me of the claim process and what I needed to provide. He personally met with me to go through the claim paper work, submitted the paperwork as quickly as possible and then kept me up to date. The claim was paid out within three weeks of the claim being submitted, this allowed me to take time to get treatment and allow me peace of mind, if I needed to take time off work, with the lump sum paid.
